    • Both players MUST request to be with each other or the request will be void.

Will my team have a coach?

  • All coaches with the recreational division are volunteers. Every effort is made to ensure every team has a coach but due to the number of teams sometimes it is not possible. If this is the case, the club will produce a schedule for the parents to rotate coaching each week. It is important to note all recreational sports clubs rely on parent volunteers to coach teams. Please consider offering your time.

  • WE DO PLAY IN THE RAIN, however on occasion the weather is severe enough to close a field.

    • Call the hotline at 705 739-4215, select #2 for Midhurst (Barrie Sports Complex) and #3 for in Town (City of Barrie Fields).

  • Barrie Soccer Club field closures will be posted on our website by 4pm if appropriate.

If the game is cancelled due to weather when will it be rescheduled?

  • We will only reschedule the teams with scores and standings, U13 and older. The club will work with the coaches to determine a make-up date. We will do our best to give 2 weeks of notice for every rescheduled game.

If competition is unbalanced will teams be rebalanced?

  • All players are given a ranking from AA-A-U (being Above Average, Average, and Unrated) by coaches from previous season. If a player is new to the club they are rated U. Teams are then balanced using these ratings. If it is noted that one or more teams are dominating play within their division, BSC reserves the right to move players in order to provide a fair and balanced recreational program.

Will my child receive a Medal?

  • The Barrie Soccer Club provides participation awards for the U3 – U12 divisions.

  • In the older divisions awards are provided for those teams that finish 1st or 2nd in overall standings.

What should I do if a problem occurs with a coach, player or parent at the field?
