The Barrie Soccer Club provides a robust player development program that focusses on developing players physical, mental, technical and tactical attributes. The program is based on a yearly periodization curriculum which is tailored for each age group.
In order to enhance and support our development program and approach we have created partnerships with the following organizations below.
Sports Medicine & Rehabilitation & Mind to Muscle
Toronto FC Juniors
With this partnership, players now have opportunities to join the Toronto FC Academy team and become part of the Toronto FC Pro Player pathway. Players also have the option to receive supplemental training in the Toronto FC Juniors program geared to players U9-15.
BSC has partnered with Sports Medicine and Mind to Muscle who together have 31 years’ experience providing injury care, treatment and rehabilitation. Mind to Muscle, who is integrated into the Sports Medicine model provides athletes a wide range of services to develop athletes and enhance performance. The team at Mind to Muscle provides Sport Nutrition, Mental performance training, performance analysis including FMS, and SFMA, Concussion Management & Fitness testing.

The affiliation with Simcoe County Rovers FC also includes 2 other youth clubs; Aurora Soccer Club, and
Athletic Institute Academy. These affiliations will provide Barrie Soccer Club additional flexibility in player
development.
The organization’s short-term goal is to achieve both Men and Women senior team status at the highest
level possible in Ontario starting in 2022, with the Barrie Soccer Club also operating teams under the
Barrie Soccer Club banner as an affiliate. Coaching resources, and player development opportunities, as well as professional and university pathway opportunities will be driven through this partnership!
