Earlier today representatives of Barrie Soccer Club and the City of Barrie cut ceremonial ribbons on the new goal posts and signage at Huronia Park. Pictured are left to right George Clarke (BSC), Sheila Mifsud (BSC), Rob Bell (City), Deputy Mayor Barry Ward, Kevin Datema (City), Joe Breedon (City) and Gina Bailey (BSC). This is the culmination of a joint project between the City of Barrie, Soccer Elite & Rugby Plus and the Barrie Soccer Club to upgrade facilities at Huronia Fields bringing the goals in line with the LTPD standards and was a 50th Anniversary project by the club. Total costs of the project including equipment, installation and signage was approximately $50,000.
